Wandering round broadway market is a gastronomic feast. You can eat it by the canal or take it home. Amazing pork pies and unusual flavours of Scotch eggs, delicious humus, weird mushrooms, great bread.

There's also a great Arge restaurant here, Sant Maria de Buen Ayre (or something like that) and in summer you have London Fields at the top of the market or the canal at the bottom for a stroll. It's lovely to think that peace actually exists in Hackney.

The foody stuff is eclectic and good (check out vegan Happy Kitchen) but there's also vintage baby gear, a photography book stall, flowers and organic/eco homewares.

Nice to discover a different market and a different vibe. Lovely little cafes here too.

Typical east london athmosphere,
lovely food and always some nice musicians taking care of good sounds on the street...
