We stayed here two years ago and (unexpectedly) just loved it. Hidden away in the middle of Sardinia, it is a beautiful family owned and run hotel, traditional but very stylish, in a lovely rural setting. It was a comfortable, charming, easy place to be. They are famous for their full-on carnivorous fests, but we managed to find delicious fish and vegetarian things too. They make their own olive oil (and wine too maybe?) and have their own vegetable garden and have a strong commitment to the local community.

We eat figs from the trees, watched horse rear in the local villages and canter past us with sparks flying on the country roads and loved the eclectic mix of this rural hotel. It has style but its not just taken from a magazine. It feels authentic and that what special even if its not super cool. I love that they roast pigs on a steak even if i don't want to eat them and we found plenty to keep a vegetarian happy. There are beautiful walks from the hotel.
