Billed as the more casual alternative to Mario Batali's Babbo, Lupa feels very much a part of the Batali stable - i.e. carefully orchestrated and slick ambiance and food, but I love the buzz and the noise and it's a fun upbeat place to be. It's invariably packed (although they do 'promise' to seat walk-ins) and the food's good - the most deliciously simple pasta pomodoro ever.
