An NYC institution and personal favourite. Totally vegan, but very non-vegan friendly. Buzzy vibe, always packed. Be prepared to wait for a table if you get there much after 7pm for dinner. Nice simple things to eat as well as more complex daily specials and great naturally sweetened desserts.

The first restaurant I ever went to - for Thanksgiving lunch - when I was 3 weeks old. And everyone made a huge fuss of me. And they remember me each time we go back now.
