This is a cute, popular French style cafe by Eric Kaiser who has two sister cafes by the same name in Moscow. In both cities, Wolkonsky is popular with the international crowd, particularly Europeans. It is sophisticated but unpretentious, trendy, very central and located near Kiev's best shopping streets. Oligarch's wives (think WAGs Ukranian-style)and their drivers/bodygaurds tend to favour this place to pose but Wolkonsky is diverse enough not to be dominated by any one type of crowd.
