The majority of the island is undeveloped. Lush green everywhere, surrounded by blue clear blue water. Beaches are found at many places around the island, public and hardly a person in sight. Fresh fish and good cooking is plentiful in Esmerelda, one of the two towns on the island. There are small places to stay, houses available for rent, or a new small scale W Hotel. The W is beautiful, affordable rates can be found, but there is no inexpensive restaurant food on the property - although the food is good and it is possible to eat healthy. Peaceful, great ocean and good waves.
